Join us for the 2025 Halloween Bash!!
Our story began in 1984, with a powerful mission: to help alcoholics and their families find a path to healing. From our original home at 110 Broad Street, we became a cornerstone of the Jonesboro community. In that smaller, 4,800-square-foot facility, we fostered a sense of belonging and offered essential outpatient services. It was here that countless individuals found their first steps toward sobriety, guided by compassionate staff and the peer support of others in recovery.
As the need for our services grew, we knew we had to expand. Our vision was to create an even more robust and welcoming space for the recovery community. That vision became a reality in late 2017 when we proudly moved into our current location at 1560 Commercial Court. This move was a monumental step forward, as we went from 4,800 square feet to over 17,000 square feet in a former Clayton County Police Academy.
This wasn’t just a change of address; it was a profound act of growth. The new, expansive facility allowed us to dramatically increase the number of people we could serve and enhance our programs. We could offer larger, more comfortable meeting rooms, expand our services, and create an environment that truly supports the journey of recovery.
Today, Clayton House Inc. stands as a dynamic hub for healing and empowerment. We continue to be a vital resource for individuals seeking outpatient support for substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and dual diagnoses. We believe that recovery is not a one-size-fits-all solution, but a deeply personal journey that deserves personalized care.
We are proud to serve as the home for two cornerstone Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) groups: the Clayton New Life Group and the Turning Point Group. These groups hold daily meetings, offering a powerful network of peer support and fellowship. Their consistent presence within our walls reinforces our core belief that no one has to walk this path alone.
For over 40 years, our unwavering commitment has been to provide a hand up, not a handout. We are more than a facility; we are a community. We are living proof that recovery is a powerful journey of transformation, and we are honored to walk alongside every person who chooses to start their new life with us.
At Clayton House Inc., our mission is to provide accessible, effective, and compassionate recovery support to individuals across Clayton County and metro Atlanta. We aim to empower people through education, treatment, and community engagement.
A community where everyone struggling with addiction or mental health challenges has the resources, guidance, and support to lead fulfilling lives.
